Job summary

Allambi Care is seeking a Youth Support Worker for Intensive Therapeutic Care in the Newcastle region. The role is part-time/casual and involves direct client care across houses, schools, hospitals, and community settings.

You will build trusted relationships, follow individualized routines, administer medications where required, and help transport clients to activities. Ongoing mentoring and professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Current Working with Children Check required for paid employment.
• Current NDIS Worker Check required and can be obtained online.
• Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid) required.
• National Police Check required.
• Valid driver’s licence (minimum P2).
• A vehicle capable of transporting four or more people.
• Comprehensive car insurance required.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion required.
• Willingness to work a 7-day roster.
• Willingness to participate in pre-employment medical checks.
• Two professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with clients and provide direct care.
• Provide around the clock care following individual routines.
• Administer medication as required.
• Transport clients to school, programs and appointments.
• Assist in implementing development programs.
• Submit accurate reports and documentation.
