Job summary

Berry Street in Victoria is seeking a Residential Care House Supervisor to lead a dedicated team of Residential Care workers delivering 24/7 therapeutic care for children and young people. The role involves supervising staff, managing daily house operations and contributing to case management plans within a trauma-informed framework.

The incumbent will oversee rosters, budgets and reporting, with after-hours duties and a strong focus on outcomes for children in statutory care.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in residential care or related field.
• Experience leading a team in a child/young person care setting.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic care approaches.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the residential house and roster.
• Provide leadership and supervision to residential care carers.
• Ensure program reporting requirements are met and documented.
• Administer annual budgets and assist with program planning.
• Embed a therapeutic framework and supervise case management plans.
• Perform after-hours and on-call duties as required.
• Develop and assist with house rostering and staff allocations.
