Job summary
Halcyon Aegis Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an experienced Site Automation Engineer to join our team. You will install and maintain automation systems for theatre projects, providing technical expertise to optimise processes and ensure safety and industry compliance.
The role involves leading a small team, troubleshooting systems, updating software, and calibrating hoists, motors, drivers, sensors and actuators using PLC tools and theatre control systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering.
- Driving license & OHS white card (essential).
- Strong knowledge of industrial networks, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintaining automation systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Updating systems, running reports, investigations and repairs of automated systems
- Resolve electrical and mechanical issues
- Perform testing and calibration for hoists, motors, drivers, sensors and actuators
- Use PLC programming tools and specialized theatre control systems.
- Work with other engineers and team members
- Performing software updates
