SD Smar Pty Ltd T/A Global Vision Recruitment Consultants in Sydney, NSW, seeks an experienced Chef to lead Thai kitchen operations. You will prepare authentic Thai dishes, maintain quality, and ensure efficient kitchen workflow.

The role requires a Diploma in Commercial Cookery or 3+ years of chef experience in a Thai/Asian setting, with 38 hours weekly and full-time employment. North Strathfield location with strong emphasis on food quality and customer service.

Qualifications

• Diploma level qualification or higher in Commercial Cookery, Hospitality or related field.
• Alternative: at least 3 years’ Chef experience if no formal qualification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare Thai menus, estimate food and labour costs, and manage ingredients and supplies.
• Cook a range of Thai dishes, including curries and stir-fries, per established recipes.
• Monitor quality, consistency, flavour and presentation throughout service.
• Coordinate with management and kitchen team on food requirements and operations.
• Demonstrate proper Thai cooking techniques and guide kitchen staff.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Monitor stock levels, minimise waste, and manage storage and handling.
