Siam Taste Thai is seeking an experienced Cook/ Chef to join our fast-paced kitchen in Sunbury, VIC. If you are passionate about authentic Asian flavours and high-quality dishes, we want to hear from you!

This full-time role requires 1–2 years of experience in a busy Thai or Asian restaurant, strong wok skills, and the ability to work flexible rosters including nights and weekends. Applicants must have rights to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a busy Thai or Asian restaurant.
• AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or AQF Certificate IV.
• Strong wok skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible to rotate nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Rights to work in Australia.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and execute high-quality Thai stir fries, curries and noodle dishes.
• Meet dietary requirements and adjust recipes for gluten-free, vegan, etc.
• Assist kitchen head to plan menus and estimate requirements.
• Manage mise en place and ingredient preparation.
• Maintain presentation, taste and temperature during busy services.
• Store food and stock per HACCP and health regulations.
• Adhere to food safety standards and cleaning procedures.
• Regulate cooking equipment temperatures and safety measures.
• Train kitchen staff and apprentices in Thai culinary techniques.
