Job summary

Davidson is seeking an experienced Test Lead to own the testing program for a Queensland Government SAP transformation, moving from ECC6 to S/4HANA Public Cloud. You will coordinate SIT, UAT and cross-system testing across multiple interfaces with a target go-live in May 2027, reporting to the Project Manager.

Based in Brisbane with hybrid working rights, you will lead test strategies, manage defects and engage stakeholders across vendors and internal teams while upskilling team members in

Qualifications

• Extensive Test Lead experience across large-scale IT or ERP programs.
• Strong SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC6 or comparable ERP testing experience.
• ISTQB certification is highly desirable, government project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Opportunity

Join a major Queensland Government finance transformation, supporting the transition from a customised SAP ECC6 environment to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. You will take ownership of agency-side testing across a complex environment of approximately 800 SAP users, three company codes and multiple business system integrations, with the program targeting go-live in May 2027.

About the Role

This role will lead the testing program and coordinate testing activities across the Finance Modernisation Project, working closely with the Project Manager, QSS, business stakeholders and delivery teams.

About You

You will be an experienced Test Lead with a strong background delivering testing across large-scale technology transformations, ideally within SAP or comparable ERP environments.

• Extensive Test Lead experience across large-scale and complex IT or ERP programs.
• Strong SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC6 or comparable enterprise ERP testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Testing Lifecycle and established testing frameworks.
• Proven experience developing strategies and artefacts across SIT, UAT, PVT and regression.
• Experience across manual and automated testing, including test data generation.
• Strong leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills; ISTQB is highly desirable.
• Previous government experience is preferred.
• Brisbane based, with full Australian working rights and able to meet hybrid requirements
