Queensland Government is modernising its ERP landscape by adopting SAP S/4HANA. The Data Migration and Test Coordinator will manage end-to-end data migration, ensure data quality and integrity, and lead testing efforts across the project team.

Reporting to the Project Technical Lead, you will oversee data migration to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, develop test strategies, train stakeholders, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while supporting audit activities.

Formación

• Proven experience in managing data migration and validation processes for large-scale ERP or financial system transitions.
• Knowledge of data cleansing, data mapping, and data transformation methodologies.
• Experience coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Qualifications in Information Technology, Data Management, or related fields.
• Experience in SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA public cloud migrations.

Responsabilidades

• Develop a test strategy, planning, scheduling, and reporting with business owners and the project team to promote appropriate testing techniques and ensure quality outcomes.
• Provide specialist advice, knowledge transfer and training to key stakeholders on systems implementation and testing.
• Oversee end-to-end data migration, ensuring accurate transfer to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and validating mapping, transformation and loading.
• Develop and execute data migration testing activities and test cases to validate data accuracy and completeness.
• Follow protocols to record, analyse, prioritise and resolve defects during migration and testing, reporting progress and risks to stakeholders.
• Coordinate preparation for testing and data migration with the Project Manager and stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and security standards and support audit requirements by providing documentation.

The Queensland Government is progressively adopting SAP S/4HANA, a next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, to modernise and streamline its financial, procurement, and human resource management processes. Reporting to the Project Technical Lead, this role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end data migration process, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity.

Description

Key Accountabilities:

Your part in the ongoing success of our department, in supporting frontline services will see you responsible for a variety of work, including, but not limited to:

• Develop a test strategy and plans, scheduling, and reporting processes in collaboration with business owners and the project team to promote the use of appropriate project testing techniques, methodologies and tools, and ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.
• Provide specialist advice, knowledge transfer and training to key stakeholders relating to systems and software implementation and testing to enable on-going support of the solution, and ensure that functionality aligns with established business requirements and functional models.
• Oversee the end-to-end data migration process, ensuring accurate and secure transfer of data to the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment. Monitor and validate data mapping, transformation, and loading processes to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Develop and execute testing activities. plans and test cases for data migration projects to validate data accuracy, completeness, and reliability and ensure testing activities align with operational needs and project objectives.
• Follow testing protocols in the recording, analysing, prioritising and resolving of defects during the data migration and testing processes, to monitor and assess progress, risks and assist with reporting on these items appropriately to key stakeholders.
• Manage and collaborate with the Project Manager and stakeholders to coordinate and undertake preparation for testing and data migration, and/or issue and defect resolution, through agreed methods and standards to enable test execution deadlines to be met.
• Engage with business units to understand their data requirements and ensure these are met during the migration and testing processes. Facilitate workshops and discussions to communicate data migration progress, testing results, and any required process changes.
• Ensure all data migration and testing activities comply with organisational, regulatory, and security standards. Support audit and governance requirements by providing accurate and timely documentation and reports.

Profile

Highly desirable requirements

• Proven experience in managing data migration and validation processes for large-scale ERP or financial system transitions.
• Strong knowledge of data cleansing, data mapping, and data transformation methodologies.
• Experience in coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Data Management, or related fields.
• Experience in prior SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA public cloud migration projects or equivalent.

Job Offer

• Hourly rate between $90 - $110 / hour, based on skills and experience.
• Temporary role offering the chance to work on a significant public sector project.
