Job summary

Department of Corrections NT is seeking an experienced Deputy Superintendent, Security and Intelligence to lead security and intelligence functions across the Northern Territory in Darwin. Expect strategic oversight, governance improvements, and coordination of centre-wide practices.

You will drive cross-centre initiatives, manage risk, and advise on emerging trends while collaborating with agencies nationwide.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in custodial or complex operational environments.
• Experience leading organisational change and implementing policies and procedural improvements.
• Proven capability managing projects, people, resources and priorities.
• Strong knowledge of correctional operations, sentence management, programs and services for people in custody.
• Understanding of the criminal justice system and contemporary correctional practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead territory-wide initiatives strengthening correctional security, intelligence and governance.
• Support correctional centres to implement consistent system-wide practices across the NT.
• Coordinate reviews and assessments relating to security, incidents and performance.
• Build productive relationships with correctional agencies and stakeholders across Australia.
• Drive innovation, change management and service enhancements to reduce risk.
