Job summary

The Northern Territory Department of Corrections is seeking an experienced Deputy Superintendent to lead custodial operations across the Greater Darwin Region, Alice Springs and Katherine. You will support the General Manager in delivering safe, secure and humane management of prisoners while driving performance and reform.

You will manage people, budgets and resources, champion continuous improvement, and engage a wide range of stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience managing diverse groups in custodial or similar complex operations.
• Proven capability leading organisational change and implementing policies and improvements.
• Strong leadership with experience managing workforce performance, budgets and resources.
• Sound knowledge of sentence management, rehabilitation programs and correctional services.
• An understanding of the criminal justice system and contemporary correctional practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement across diverse groups.

• Supporting the overall management and performance of correctional centre operations.
• Leading strategic and operational initiatives to enhance safety, security and prisoner outcomes.
