Job summary

Medartis Australia & New Zealand Pty Ltd. in Melbourne seeks a Territory Associate to support surgeons, theatre teams and hospital staff while driving growth across the territory. This hands-on role blends clinical support, customer education, and sales, reporting to the Sales Manager.

You will build strong relationships, deliver product education, and identify opportunities to expand Medartis’ presence across Victoria, with occasional after-hours support and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical devices or healthcare sales is preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Willingness to travel across Victoria and support theatre schedules.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience is required.

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Territory Associate, supporting our continued growth and strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals across the state.

About the Role

As Territory Associate, you will play a key role in supporting surgeons, theatre teams and hospital staff while driving business growth across your territory. This is a hands‑on position that combines clinical support, customer education, relationship management and sales.

Working closely with the Sales Manager, you will build strong customer relationships, deliver product education and identify opportunities to grow Medartis’ presence across your territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, identify new business opportunities and actively promote Medartis products to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Provide in‑theatre and hospital support to healthcare professionals, ensuring the effective use of Medartis products and instruments.
• Deliver product in‑services, workshops and clinical education to surgeons, nurses and other relevant medical personnel.
• Build long‑term partnerships with customers, understand their needs and provide responsive, practical solutions to service issues.
• Coordinate case bookings, monitor stock usage, support instrument set maintenance and ensure timely delivery of products to hospitals.
• Monitor territory performance, review sales data, maintain accurate CRM records and contribute to territory growth strategies.
• Work closely with internal teams, including Customer Service, Supply Chain and Logistics, to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• This role requires flexibility to support theatre schedules, including occasional after‑hours availability and an on‑call component.

About You

Flexibility to travel across Victoria and work around hospital and theatre schedules.

• Experience in medical devices, healthcare, clinical support or sales, ideally within an orthopaedic or surgical environment.
• Experience building customer relationships and identifying opportunities to grow accounts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical product information clearly to different audiences.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• A customer‑focused mindset and the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities.
• A willingness to learn, develop clinical and product expertise, and contribute to a high‑performing team.
• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of experience and training is required. A medical‑related degree and recent operating theatre experience are highly regarded.
