Job summary

Pacific National, Australia’s largest private rail freight operator, is hiring a Terminal / Forklift Operator in Townsville. You will load and unload containerised rail freight safely and efficiently, reporting to the Supervisor in a 24/7 rotating shift environment.

No rail experience required – full training provided. Essential to have LF Forklift Licence and a current Driver’s Licence; safety minded, team oriented, and comfortable with basic computer tasks.

• LF Forklift Licence (essential).
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Team-focused approach with a willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

An opportunity has presented itself for a Forklift Operator to join our team in Townsville.

What You’ll Do

Load and unload containerised rail freight safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will:

• Operate forklifts to load/unload rail wagons and trucks
• Ensure all freight handling is completed safely and efficiently
• Work within a 24/7 rotating shift environment
• Support safe operations and maintain equipment standards
• Work as part of a team to meet operational targets
