Job summary

Followmont Transport in Townsville is seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our team. You will play a key role in moving freight, focusing on safely loading and unloading B-Double Trailers and Tautliner Trucks, zoning and scanning tasks, and reporting and customer service.

The role suits a motivated, safety-focused individual with proven transport or forklift experience. We offer permanent full-time employment, weekly pay with overtime, and a pathway for in-house training to obtain

Qualifications

• Minimum experience in transport or forklift operation.
• Ability to complete a Criminal History Check.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload freight from B-Double Trailers & Tautliner Trucks.
• Zone and scan freight to ensure correct placement and avoid misdirects.
• Strap and secure freight on trailers and assist with sorting when required.
• Assist with reporting and customer service as needed.

As a valued member of the team you will play a key role in moving freight with a focus on safely loading and unloading B-Double Trailers & Tautliner Trucks, zoning and scanning tasks as well as reporting and customer service.
Best suited to a motivated and safety focused individual that has proven experience in transport or forklift operation.

The Opportunity:

• Full time Permanent Opportunity
• Work life balance focused shifts: Both Morning Shift and 3PL Warehousing positions available
• Efficiently unload general freight from body trucks & trailers and ensure placed in the correct zone to ensure no misdirects.
• Strapping and securing freight trailerswhile sorting freight when required.
