Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice Tuggerah NSW is seeking a Tenant Participation Officer to coordinate tenant engagement initiatives that amplify tenant voices, support service improvement, and enhance community wellbeing.

You will build partnerships with councils, Education, Police & Indigenous agencies, organize community meetings and events, develop feedback systems, and help design social plans across Homes NSW communities.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating community engagement activities such as meet-and-greets, forums, outreach sessions and local events.
• Strong administration and project support skills including coordinating meetings, bookings, catering, communications, surveys and records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver community-based projects and activities to boost resident participation.
• Develop and implement tenant feedback systems and advisory arrangements with residents, organisations and local communities.
• Organise, attend and contribute to community meetings and network with external stakeholders (Council, Education, Police, Indigenous agencies).
• Contribute to design and review of social plans and tenant/community empowerment planning.
• Identify social infrastructure needs and develop strategies to address them; grow tenant engagement through boards and other channels.
• Undertake associated administrative duties.
