Job summary

MCE Communications in Windsor, NSW is seeking a Telecommunications Technician or Apprentice for a full-time role. You will perform fibre optic installations, rod and rope works, telecommunication cabling and fit-off across residential and commercial projects, with travel to NSW job sites.

A company work vehicle is provided for travel. Depending on experience, you may be hired as a qualified technician or start as an apprentice.

• ACMA Open Cabling Registration with endorsements for qualified applicants.

Telecommunications Technician / Apprentice

We are seeking a full‑time qualified Telecommunications Technician or Apprentice to join our young and growing team.

Based in Windsor, NSW, we deliver telecommunications services across Metro Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle, Wollongong and surrounding areas, working across a range of residential and commercial projects.

About the Role

Depending on your experience and qualifications, your day‑to‑day work may include:

• Fibre optic installations

• Rod and rope works and cable hauling

• Telecommunications cabling and fit‑off

• New housing estate and apartment development installations

• Fault finding, repairs and service work

• Working alongside experienced technicians on larger projects

• Learning and working across a broad range of telecommunications systems and technologies

The role involves travel to different job sites throughout NSW depending on the day’s schedule. A company work vehicle is provided for work‑related travel.

For apprentice applicants, previous telecommunications experience is not required. We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated, willing to learn and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

About Us

We are a growing telecommunications company established in 2022 and based in Windsor, NSW.

We work closely with a major private telecommunications network as a delivery partner across Metro Sydney and regional NSW, completing a combination of construction, installation, maintenance and service work.

Our current team consists of five technicians aged in their 20s and early 30s. We are a close‑knit crew and have built a relaxed but professional working environment.

Some days involve working together on larger projects, while other days you’ll be trusted to work independently completing scheduled service and installation work.

We also make an effort to keep the team culture strong outside of work. That might mean an occasional golf day, a Friday afternoon pub catch‑up when the schedule allows, or our annual team trip to the Gold Coast.

We’re looking for someone who will fit well into the team, take pride in their work and be interested in growing with the company long term.
