Responsibilities

• Assisting with running and installing structured data and fibre cabling.

• Installing and fitting out communications cabinets.
• Installing network equipment, Wi‑Fi access points, and connected devices.
• Mounting CCTV cameras and other field devices.
• Assisting with electronic access control and audio visual systems.
• Testing cabling and installed equipment.
• Assisting with system testing and commissioning.
• Developing skills in equipment configuration, networking and fault finding.
• Learning to diagnose faults from the physical cabling layer through to the network and connected system.

About you

• Comfortable with PC hardware and keen to develop your networking knowledge

• Enjoy troubleshooting and working out why something isn't working

• Interested in learning the physical installation side of technology

• Comfortable working onsite

• Good communication skills

• Reliable, willing to listen and willing to learn

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Take pride in your work

• Current Australian driver's licence

Previous IT experience, computer building or repair experience, networking, cabling or other hands‑on technical experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.

You don't need to come from a trade background and you don't need years of IT experience.
