Job summary

Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Underground Plant Mechanical Maintainer to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on underground and surface infrastructure at St Ives Mine. You will execute scheduled inspections, service, adjustments and repairs, and use SAP for maintenance orders.

The role offers a permanent contract, a 6% site allowance plus a performance bonus, generous leave, private health support and family-friendly entitlements,

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate
• Strong mechanical maintenance of underground mining fixed plant infrastructure
• Crane, Dogging, EWP and Forklift tickets desirable
• Experience with paste & batching plants advantageous

Responsibilities

• Execute preventative maintenance through inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair of plant and equipment
• Provide reliable maintenance knowledge to minimise downtime and production loss
• Handle administration such as requisitioning parts, processing maintenance orders and logging labour time in SAP
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in underground and surface maintenance areas
• Work safely within a strong team-based culture

In the role, you will be responsible for providing quality and timely preventative mechanical maintenance and repairs of the Underground and Surface Infrastructure as part of our Underground Plant Mechanical Maintenance Team at St Ives Mine.

Skills & Qualifications

About the Role

• Achieve targets by executing preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, trouble shooting and timely repair of plant and underground equipment
• Provide reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge, expertise, and practical application, to minimise down time and subsequent loss of production
• Associated administration, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing of maintenance orders, recording of labour time, etc. through the efficient utilisation of SAP
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout then Underground and Surface maintenance workshops as with all areas where maintenance work is carried out
• Be able to work safely and collectively in a strong and dynamic team-based culture
