Job summary

Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist for our Granny Smith mine. You will perform high-quality electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations on fixed plant processing equipment within the Mill Maintenance Electrical Department.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with competitive site allowances, a quarterly bonus, and generous leave entitlements, including parental and cultural leave.

Qualifications

• WA A Class Electrical License required.
• HV Switching ticket and experience required.
• Instrumentation knowledge and Allen Bradley PLC experience preferred.
• Process plant experience in a gold processing environment.
• Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP.
• WA C Manual Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve maintenance targets to minimise downtime and production loss.
• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance safely.
• Fault-find, diagnose, and repair electrical, communication and instrumentation components.

The Opportunity:

In the role, you will be responsible for performing high quality electrical maintenance, repairs and installations on all fixed plant processing equipment as part of our Mill Maintenance Electrical Department team at our owner operator Granny Smith mine.

Skills & Qualifications

• WA A Class Electrical License
• HV Switching ticket and experience
• Instrumentation and sound knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC- highly desirable
• Process Plant experience in a gold processing plant
• Experience with CMMS system, such as SAP

About the Role

• Achieve budgeted maintenance and operational targets by utilising superior, efficient maintenance practices to minimise downtime and production loss
• Safely carry out maintenance activities (planned and reactive) as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Fault-find, diagnose, repair and maintain electrical, communication and instrumentation components within the fixed plant
• HV switching
• Be actively involved in various continuous improvement initiatives and small projects
• Assist with Contractor supervision during shutdowns
• Assist the Supervisors and planners with weekly and shutdown plan development
• The requisitioning of parts and materials, the timely processing of work orders with correct and technically competent information
• Provide support to the Mechanical and Operations Teams as directed.
