Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Muswellbrook, NSW, is seeking a Field Service Diesel Mechanic to service heavy vehicle engines at mining and industrial sites. You will perform breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and on-site repairs with Cummins training and support.

The role features a 5 on 4 off day shift, a Tool of Trade Vehicle, mine site allowances, overtime, and a yearly bonus. A relevant trade qualification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Plant or Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel.
• Experience servicing heavy diesel equipment and mining applications is preferred.
• Proven ability to perform breakdown and preventative tasks on heavy vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first-class service to mining customers as a travelling Field Service Technician.
• Perform breakdown and preventative maintenance on heavy diesel engines.
• Support for new Tier 4 HHP engines following Cummins technical training.

We are looking for talented Field Service Diesel Mechanics to join our team in the Hunter region. Based at our Muswellbrook branch, our team specialises in Heavy Vehicle service, repairs and maintenance across high horsepower mining and industrial applications.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Deliver a first-class service to our mining customers as a travelling Field Service Technician
• Perform breakdown and preventative tasks
• Deliver support for our new Tier 4 HHP engines, the most advanced HHP product on the market following fully Cummins technical training

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Relevant trade qualification (Plant or Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel)
• A valid driver’s license
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, engines and similar applications is preferred

5 on 4 off Day/night shift rotational
