Cummins in Muswellbrook, NSW, is hiring a Field Service Diesel Mechanic to support mining customers across the Hunter region. You will travel to sites, perform breakdowns and preventative maintenance, and assist with Tier 4 HHP engine work after Cummins training.

We offer an above‑award hourly rate with mine site allowance, overtime, a yearly bonus, a tool‑of‑trade vehicle, relocation assistance, and benefits including insurance and uniforms.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in plant or heavy diesel
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience as a diesel mechanic in heavy diesel products/mining equipment preferred

We are looking for talented Field Service Diesel Mechanics to join our team in the Hunter region. Based from our Muswellbrook branch, our team specialises in Heavy Vehicle service, repairs and maintenance across high horsepower mining and industrial applications.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Deliver a first-class service to our mining customers as a travelling Field Service Technician

Perform breakdown and preventative tasks

Deliver support for our new Tier 4 HHP engines, the most advanced HHP product on the market following fully Cummins technical training

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Relevant trade qualification (Plant or Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel)

A valid driver’s license

Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, engines and similar applications is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive above award hourly rate + mine site allowance paid as a permanent salary

Overtime penalties for all work above standard Monday – Friday 38-hour work week
