Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Field Service Diesel Mechanic for the Hunter region, based at Muswellbrook. You will travel to mining sites, performing breakdowns and preventative maintenance to heavy diesel engines and equipment.

The role includes a competitive hourly rate with mine-site allowance and overtime, plus a yearly bonus and super. A Tool of Trade vehicle is provided and a flexible 5-on-4-off day shift roster supports a stable lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Plant or Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience as a diesel mechanic in heavy diesel, mining equipment or similar applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality field service to mining customers as a travelling Field Service Technician.
• Perform breakdown and preventative maintenance tasks on heavy diesel equipment.
• Provide support and service for Tier 4 HHP engines following Cummins training.

We are looking for talented Field Service Diesel Mechanics to join our team in the Hunter region. Based at our Muswellbrook branch, our team specialises in Heavy Vehicle service, repairs and maintenance across high horsepower mining and industrial applications.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Deliver a first-class service to our mining customers as a travelling Field Service Technician
• Perform breakdown and preventative tasks
• Deliver support for our new Tier 4 HHP engines, the most advanced HHP product on the market following fully Cummins technical training

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Relevant trade qualification (Plant or Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel)
• A valid driver’s license
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, engines and similar applications is preferred
