Overview

Technical Writer / Product Evangelist (SaaS) – CheckWorkRights (CWR) is a leading Australian SaaS that has spent the last decade building a reputation as a trusted partner in the background checking and compliance space. We’re looking for someone to join our team who can go deep into our SaaS product — learning every feature inside and out — and to turn that knowledge into clear, structured documentation that empowers both our customers and our team.

We’re a team of passionate problem-solvers with a robust and highly-regarded product that serves some of Australia’s largest enterprises. Our team is small, focused, and collaborative, and every person plays a direct and meaningful role in our success.

What you’ll do

• Learn every feature and workflow of our product — from high-level use cases to the nuts-and-bolts technical details.
• Produce documentation for two key audiences: External (user guides, FAQs, onboarding materials, release notes, feature explainers) and Internal (technical reference docs, process flows, troubleshooting guides).
• Establish and maintain a clear, scalable documentation framework in Notion (no experience needed — you’ll be expected to master it quickly).
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, accessible, and easy to understand — from non-technical users to advanced power users.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and customer success teams to capture product knowledge as it evolves.
• Advocate for clarity and usability across all product communications — becoming the go-to source of product truth.
