Job summary

Black Box Security in Australia is seeking a practical Technical Support Officer – Electronic Security with an end-user focus. You will troubleshoot CCTV, alarm and access-control systems, manage remote access, and keep service records up to date.

You will work with technicians and suppliers, learn our platforms, and provide clear client communications while taking ownership to resolve issues and ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated technical-support experience within IT, technology products or another technical industry.
• Basic understanding of data networks and ability to learn new platforms quickly.
• Clear written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to collaborate with technicians, manufacturers and vendors to reach solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with operation and remote access to CCTV, alarm and access-control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve device, network, connectivity and configuration issues.
• Work with technicians, manufacturers and suppliers to resolve issues and own the outcome.
• Keep clients informed and maintain accurate support records, identifying recurring faults.
• Assist with stock, purchasing and equipment logistics including PO, deliveries and dispatch.
