Job summary

ABB in Australia seeks a Field Service Engineer to deliver technical support for solar, wind, and battery energy storage installations. This role is onsite and involves troubleshooting, reporting, and ensuring safety and ABB quality standards.

You will identify service opportunities, coach junior technicians, and collaborate with sales and project teams to maintain customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering, 3+ years in field service

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering or related technical field.
• Valid NSW Electrical License.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service engineering or technical support.
• Experience with power electronics, inverters, control systems or renewable energy tech.
• Enhanced knowledge of SCADA systems, PLC programming and diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service and technical support for renewable energy installations onsite.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes, document service activities per ABB standards.
• Identify business opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Coach junior technicians and collaborate with account teams on service opportunities.
