Job summary

Vendito is seeking a Technical Solar Advisor to provide expert guidance on solar systems, inverters, batteries and installation components. You will support customers and internal teams with technical advice, troubleshooting and compliance knowledge.

The role covers operation across grid-tied and hybrid solutions, with emphasis on safety, code compliance and efficient problem solving. Based in Blacktown, NSW, this position focuses on customer-first support and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical background, with solar experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of circuit protection and cabling.
• Able to learn new products quickly and troubleshoot effectively.
• Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on solar panels and components.
• Advise on solar system configuration including premium vs budget solutions.
• Support customers with grid-tied and hybrid inverters from major brands.
• Demonstrate knowledge of mounting systems for tile, tin and tilt roofs.
• Provide guidance on battery systems and manufacturers.
• Ensure advice aligns with Clean Energy Council regulations and guidelines.
• Assist with troubleshooting and technical queries over the phone.

Job description

We are seeking a technically strong and customer-focused Technical Solar Advisor to provide product support and guidance across solar systems, inverters, batteries and installation components. This role will support customers and internal teams with technical advice, troubleshooting and compliance knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on solar panels including Aiko, REC, Jinko and Trina
• Advise on solar system configuration, including the difference between premium and budget solutions
• Support customers with grid-tied and hybrid battery inverters (e.g. Fronius, Goodwe, Sungrow, SolarEdge, Sigenergy)
• Demonstrate knowledge of solar mounting systems for tile, tin and tilt roofs (Powerwave, Clenergy, Schletter)
• Provide guidance on battery systems and manufacturers such as Sungrow, Goodwe, Sigenergy and Fronius Reserva
• Ensure advice aligns with Clean Energy Council regulations and industry guidelines
• Understand and explain Government incentives including STCs and BSTCs
• Assist with troubleshooting and technical queries over the phone

Skills & Experience

• Strong electrical background (solar experience highly regarded)
