Scorptec is seeking a capable Technical Support Officer to join our Technical Services team in Sydney. The role emphasizes high levels of customer care and delivering efficient technical solutions to meet customer satisfaction. You will handle warranty claims, returns, and testing of parts, while adhering to quality processes and supporting peers across branches.

Travel may be required. This position requires independent work, strong communication, and the ability to build durable customer

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Technical Support Officer in IT.
• Experience diagnosing hardware and software issues and building systems to spec.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organised.

Responsibilities

• Process warranty claims promptly.

• Ensure all warranty claims are processed in a timely manner.
• Handling of returns made in person or sent in from customers or other stores.
• Testing of warranty parts to verify claim.
• To be able to follow quality builds and testing processes.
• Meeting customers’ expectations clearly and promptly.
• Understand and apply quality control testing
• Ability to perform advanced technical duties in accordance with company procedures
• Travel may be required from time to time,
• To support peers with technical matters
• To aid and assist all Branch duties

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• A minimum of 3-year experience as a Technical Support Officer within the IT industry
• Experience with hardware and software issues and how to build systems to specification
• Tertiary qualified in Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent
• Strong Customer Service skills -ability to build relationship with customers
• Sound Communication skills – written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, detail orientated and organised
