Evolve Corporate Transformation in Melbourne's private healthcare sector seeks a Technical Services Manager to rebuild and lead on-site IT support across multiple hospital sites, starting with Richmond. You will establish cadence, KPIs, and governance, own level 2/2.5 support, and partner with doctors, clinicians and site leaders to ensure technology enables patient care.
This greenfield leadership opportunity requires calm leadership, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to scale a
I'm working exclusively with a well-established, mission-driven not-for-profit private healthcare group on a newly redesigned Technical Services Manager role. This is a genuine opportunity to lead and rebuild a technical services function from the ground up, in an organisation where technology directly supports doctors, clinicians and patients across multiple sites every single day.
The organisation is taking the opportunity to reset how this function operates. Right now, on-site technical support runs reactively, with some technical debt built up over time and room to bring in proper structure, accountability and consistency. There's a small, capable team already in place, including support specialists and a unified communications specialist, with three further support roles planned. What's missing is a steady hand to bring cadence, clear priorities, coaching and a genuine leadership presence.
If you're someone who wants a tidy, already-mature environment to maintain, this probably isn't the role for you. If you want the mandate to build one properly, this is a rare opportunity to do just that.
This role needs a mature, steady leader more than it needs a purely technical specialist. You'll have strong hands-on technical grounding in end-user computing and on-site support, but just as important is your ability to bring calm, structure and clear boundaries to a team that's ready for stronger leadership. You'll be comfortable communicating with clinicians, doctors and senior stakeholders in plain, confident language, and genuinely motivated to build capability in others rather than simply keep the wheels turning. Healthcare or hospital experience is a nice-to-have here, not a must-have.
