Job summary

CoverTel in Melbourne, VIC is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to bridge high-end test gear and field operations. You will lead hands-on demonstrations and train utility teams to operate our equipment, ensuring reliable performance across Australian sites.

You will author MOPs, SOWs, and test guides, coordinate with manufacturers on RMAs, and manage calibration schedules. This role partners with Sales on technical proposals and oversees IT and staging setups.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications environments and legacy tech common in utilities.
• Clear ability to write technical MOPs/SOWs/field test procedures.
• Hands-on familiarity with telecom test and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Run hands-on product demonstrations and train utility teams on operating our test equipment.
• Write clear MOPs, SOWs, and test guides for customer projects.
• Troubleshoot basic customer issues and coordinate RMAs/repairs with manufacturers.
• Manage calibration schedules and keep demo fleet and inventory organized.
• Collaborate with Sales on technical proposals and oversee IT staging setups.
