Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Australia seeks a Technical Sales professional to support and deploy applications for MV/HV grids, leading the Protection and Control IED efforts. You will present, tailor, and apply technical solutions while collaborating with engineering and sales teams.

The role requires strong communication, relationship building, and travel to customer sites and events across APAC. A technical degree and 5–10 years in a related field are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5–10 years in technical sales, presales or a related engineering role in utilities.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven track record in building and maintaining customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within territories and accounts.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations of Protection and Control products.
• Collaborate with customers to tailor Hitachi Energy solutions to their needs.
• Provide technical leadership during meetings, presentations and negotiations.
• Support bid/no bid analyses and participate in risk reviews.
• Develop relationships with key decision makers and technical contacts.
• Coordinate with engineering, product development and support teams to capture requirements.
• Stay updated on industry trends and product portfolio; participate in events as a Hitachi representative.
• Provide product and application training to customers and internal teams.
• Provide market feedback to product management for future enhancements.
