Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in technical sales, presales, or a relevant engineering role, preferably within the Utility sector.
  • Strong understanding of complex technical concepts and the ability to articulate them clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel frequently to customer sites and industry events.
  • Knowledge of Hitachi Energy's product lines or related technologies (e.g., Relion 670 series, MicroSCADA, RTU500 series) is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories and target accounts.
  • Conduct in-depth technical presentations and demonstrations of Hitachi Energy's Protection and Control products and solutions to prospective and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their business challenges and technical requirements, then propose tailored Hitachi Energy solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership for Sales teams during customer meetings, product presentations and negotiations.
  • Supports bid/no bid analyses and decisions. Participates in project risk review processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decisionmakers and technical contacts.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscapes, and Hitachi Energy's evolving product portfolio.
