Job summary

RoadTek is seeking an Electrical Mechanic for its Gold Coast Nerang operations unit to install, maintain and repair traffic signals, street lighting, ITS, and related electrical infrastructure. You will work across diverse projects, collaborating with internal teams and external contractors, following departmental standards and safety guidelines to keep Queensland's transport network safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• Electrical Mechanic qualification with a current Electrical Work Licence.
• Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue competencies.
• White Card (Construction Industry).
• Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence or equivalent.
• Ability to undertake travel as required.
• Ability to participate in day, night, weekend, public holiday and on-call rosters.
• Ability to meet pre-employment medical requirements and participate in a skills assessment process.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair traffic signals, street lighting, ITS and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Deliver construction and maintenance activities in accordance with departmental standards, specifications and works orders.
• Ensure compliance with electrical, workplace health and safety legislation and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Identify and manage risks while delivering quality outcomes in a timely and costeffective manner.
