Mawsons Echuca is seeking a Technical Manager West to lead quality assurance for concrete and quarry products. Based at the Echuca technical office, you will report to the Technical Division General Manager and supervise day-to-day operations within a professional team.

The role focuses on coordinating material testing, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with ISO17025, and providing practical, innovative solutions across projects in regional Victoria and NSW.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or advanced diploma in engineering (civil preferred).
• Civil/construction or quarry industry experience advantageous.
• Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and records.
• Commitment to workplace safety and environmental responsibility.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external concrete and geotechnical materials testing.
• Conduct annual product compliance testing for key tender submissions.
• Review tenders including drawings and specifications.
• Stay updated with Australian and TfNSW testing standards.
• Support regional and site managers on product technical issues.
• Manage day-to-day operations for direct reports.
• Maintain quality assurance records and ISO17025 understanding.

Technical Manager West - Echuca

We seek a confident and well organised person for this full time role based at Mawsons Echuca technical office, reporting to the Technical Division General Manager. This role is part of a professional team responsible for ensuring the quality of all Mawsons concrete and quarry products.

Duties Include

• Co-ordinating internal and external concrete and geotechnical construction materials testing
• Conducting annual product compliance testing for key product tender submissions
• Conducting tender reviews including understanding contract construction drawings and specifications
• Remaining up-to-date with relevant Australian and TfNSW testing standards
• Providing support to regional and site managers in relation to product technical issues
• Manage day to day operations and tasks of direct report/s effectively and professionally
• Having a sound knowledge of concrete mix designs and production, or a willingness to gain such an understanding
• Delegating and managing any external work to be completed for project requirements in a timely manner
• Maintaining quality assurance records, including a central database for all quality records
• Establishing a sound understanding of NATA testing guidelines and the requirements of ISO17025

Criteria

• Engineering degree or advance diploma in engineering, preferably Civil or a related discipline
• Civil construction, concrete or quarry industry experience (advantageous)
• Quality assurance procedures and records understanding
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and regard for the environment
• High level communication and team working skills
• Ability to provide innovative, practical solutions
• Regular travel across Mawsons service area is essential.
