Job summary

iterate is looking for a Technical Lead to guide a small team building enterprise-grade digital experiences in Melbourne. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor developers and perform hands-on work across React/Next.js, .NET Core APIs, and cloud-native Azure/Kubernetes deployments.

You will champion code quality, testing and CI/CD, collaborating with product and delivery leads while exploring AI-enabled improvements across engineering and business processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead for a small development team.
• Strong solution design skills and pragmatic architecture decisions.
• Hands-on React experience, plus Next.js and Nx monorepo tooling.
• Experience integrating front ends with .NET Core APIs.
• Working knowledge of Azure (App Insights, AKS, Storage) and Kubernetes in production.
• Track record guiding developers, reviewing technical approaches and keeping quality high.
• Hands-on experience applying AI to engineering and delivery within security/governance boundaries.
• Solid grounding in software design principles, patterns and SOLID.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small engineering team delivering customer-facing digital experiences.
• Take work from discovery and solution design through to production.
• Mentor less experienced developers and promote code quality, testing and CI/CD.
• Run technical discussions, review approaches and make architecture calls.
• Hands-on work in React/Next.js, .NET Core API integrations, and Azure/Kubernetes environments.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI to improve engineering, delivery and business processes.
