Job summary

PARts DB Australia is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead design and delivery of the most complex, high-risk work in our stream. You will own technical design, security, performance and data integrity while staying hands-on and mentoring others.

You will collaborate with Product Managers and vendors, drive CI/CD discipline, and grow into the Technical Lead role with a defined development plan. Hybrid Sydney CBD with modern engineering practice.

Qualifications

• Strong backend depth in C# / .NET Core and frontend capability in React.
• Proven experience building and scaling modern web applications, APIs and services in a cloud-native SaaS environment.
• Azure preferred; capable of moving between cloud platforms.
• Database design across relational and non-relational stores with focus on performance and data integrity.
• Secure development practices embedded in team work.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps.
• Familiarity with AI development tools and disciplined usage.
• Strong Agile Scrum fluency; offshore teams is an advantage.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex, high-risk work across the stack.
• Own technical design and architectural decisions focusing on security, performance, scalability and data integrity.
• Stay hands-on and provide technical leadership.
• Set and maintain quality through code reviews, QA, automation and CI/CD discipline.
• Lead root-cause analysis and durable resolutions for production incidents.
• Mentor developers and graduates through pairing and coaching.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate trade-offs into action.
• Develop leadership by contributing to estimation, planning and streamlining direction.
