Job summary

Orica Limited is seeking a Software Technical Lead to guide a small development team within the Digital Solutions group. You will own the architecture, collaborate with Product and UX, and drive cutting-edge blast design CAD products across distributed teams.

The role emphasizes delivering robust software, handling large 3D datasets, and applying high-performance algorithms while supporting flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or mentoring a small development team.
• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs to Product and UX.
• Proven track record of making and owning architectural decisions.
• Proficiency in C# or similar programming languages.
• Experience with large 3D datasets and spatial algorithm development.
• Understanding of 3D rendering with OpenGL, DirectX or Vulkan.
• UI/UX design experience with usability and performance in mind.
• Ability to write high-performance algorithms for compute-intensive tasks.
• Proven success in cross-functional team environments delivering high-quality software.
• Experience developing mining software or in mining domains.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling or CAD tools such as Blender or AutoCAD.
