Job summary

Orica is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Digital Solutions team and help shape OREPro 3D, a mining simulation tool used globally. You will collaborate with a PM, BA and three developers, reporting to the lead developer, delivering new features and improving workflows while shaping the product direction.

The role involves building features across UI, API, and data layers, with a focus on performance and large datasets, in a hybrid team distributed across Australia and overseas.

Qualifications

• You have built web applications from UI through API and database.
• You have end-to-end ownership and long-term maintenance experience.
• You show good judgment in prioritizing fixes in a mature codebase.

Responsibilities

• Build features and fix bugs across the app from data model to 3D rendering and React interface.
• Keep large datasets fast; optimize memory and performance on site laptops.
• Connect OREPro 3D to Predict for job tracking, tuning sweeps, results and replays.
• Industrialise optimization and geometry algorithms for production-ready workflows.
