Orica is seeking a Software Technical Lead to guide a small development team within the Digital Solutions group. The role focuses on leading architecture, collaborating with Product and UX, and delivering cutting-edge 3D CAD products for mining.

Qualifications

Experience leading or mentoring a small development team.
Ability to communicate technical trade-offs to Product and UX.
Track record of making and owning architectural decisions.
Proficiency in C# or similar programming languages.
Experience with large 3D datasets and spatial algorithm development.
Understanding of 3D rendering fundamentals and low-level graphics APIs such as OpenGL, DirectX, or Vulkan.
User interface and workflow design experience, focusing on usability and performance.
Ability to write high-performance algorithms for computationally intensive tasks.
Proven success in cross-functional team environments, delivering robust software solutions.
Experience developing mining software or working within mining-related domains.
Basic knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS); familiarity with 3D modelling or CAD tools such as Blender or AutoCAD.
