Mapei Brisbane is seeking a Technical Engineer - Graduate to support construction projects by articulating technical and product positioning to business and technical users. The role focuses on pre-sales support, product advocacy, and documentation across flooring, roofing, waterproofing, admixtures, and bonding.

You will collaborate with Technical engineers, coordinate sales projects, and build strong customer relationships while keeping up with Australian installation standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical advice and product advocacy to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Learn Construction Chemicals and related applications (e.g., flooring, waterproofing, admixtures).
• Assist Technical engineers with technical guide and documentation creation.
• Prepare short form specifications meeting regulations and performance requirements for customers.
• Coordinate and oversee sales projects to meet specifications and timelines.
• Identify technical issues across accounts to ensure customer satisfaction across sales and project stages.
• Maintain relationships throughout the sales cycle and assist in developing new business.
• Document and report project progress, issues, and solutions to stakeholders.
• Communicate customer activity to relevant departments and stay updated on installation standards.

About the Opportunity

Mapeiis looking for a Technical Engineer - Graduate, to provide support for construction projects by articulating technical and product positioning to both the business and technical users.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Provide key pre-sales technical advice/assistance and product advocacy to ensure fit-for-purpose products and techniques are employed to provide solutions

Become proficient in various types of Construction Chemicals (incl. Resin and Cementitious Flooring, Roofing and Basement Waterproofing, Admixtures for Concrete and Mortars, Structural Strengthening and Bonding, etc.)

Assist Technical engineers on technical guide/documentation creation

Assist Technical engineers in preparing short form specification meeting regulation and performance requirements for customers

Assist Technical engineers to coordinate and oversee sales projects to ensure they meet specifications

Identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales and project process

Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle, project program and assist in the development of new business

Accurately document and report on project progress, issues, and solutions, including any authorized verbal agreements with customers

Maintain communication to relevant departments in relation to customer activity

Become proficient in any Australian standard related to our products’ installation.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent

Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate technical documentation

Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team

Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally, including written responses and reports

Organised and analytical, able to eliminate technical obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches

Must possess time management skills

Valid and current motor vehicle driver licence.
