Job summary

Mapei Australia is seeking a Dispenser Service Technician to deliver field-based technical service and customer support for dispensing equipment in Melbourne. You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and optimisation to ensure reliable operation and high customer satisfaction.

You will perform on-site installs, diagnose faults, and work with the supervisor to plan efficient deployments while building lasting client relationships across our Melbourne facility network.

Qualifications

• Experience with installing, maintaining and repairing dispensing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and safely.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, calibrate, maintain, and repair dispensing equipment (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic).
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance to optimise performance.
• Diagnose faults and complete timely repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support customers on correct equipment use and basic maintenance.
• Plan and execute installations in collaboration with the supervisor.
• Build strong customer relationships to support contract retention and growth.
• Provide on-site technical support and resolve equipment/application issues.
• Respond promptly to service requests including on-call and occasional travel.
• Partner with Sales to support customer needs and identify improvement opportunities.

About the Opportunity

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude (wiring, plumbing, pneumatics)
• Ability to troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve technical issues independently
• Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Customer-focused with ability to manage competing priorities
• Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution skills
• Competent in Microsoft Office and service reporting systems
• Willingness to travel within Australia.
