Job summary

Mott MacDonald Group in Australia is seeking an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to join our Buildings team on permanent, full-time basis. You will lead significant projects, guide the structures team, and collaborate with the State Market Lead on commercial performance and resource management.

You will work across arts, aviation, education, transport, and life sciences sectors, promoting safety and delivering technically robust concepts while developing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with a degree in structural engineering.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary, complex projects end-to-end.
• Strong client relationship management and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead significant projects and bids to strengthen our structural presence in QLD.
• Deliver landmark building projects across arts, aviation, education, transport, civic, life sciences.
• Promote safety through leadership activities and reporting.
• Assist Market Lead with people management and collaboration.

Mott MacDonald are currently seeking experienced Lead Structural Engineer to join our talented Buildings team. In addition to leading complex projects and strengthening our market presence, the successful Structures candidate will lead and guide the structures team, collaborating with the State Market Lead to oversee commercial performance and resource management for the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading significant projects and supporting successful project bids to strengthen our structural presence in QLD.
• Lead and deliverlandmark building projectsacross sectors including arts & culture, aviation, education, transport, civic, and life sciences.
• Promoting a culture of safety by engaging in leadership activities, such as safety walks and incident reporting.
• Assisting the Market Lead with pragmatic people management and encouraging collaboration.
• Managing resource planning and succession.
• Ensuring compliance with systems, procedures, and required training.

About You

• Chartered Engineer with adegree in structural engineering or a related field.
• Possess a high level of design creativity with the ability to develop technically robust structural concepts whilst maintaining a strong focus on the design intent.
• Commercially aware with the ability to successfully lead structural and multidisciplinary complex projects through all phases whilst managing and developing strong client relationships.
• Desire to work within a multidisciplinary team, driving innovation and excellence, contributing to workplace culture.
