Marsh is seeking a technical claims professional to join our JLT Public Sector team in Melbourne. This hybrid role requires in-office work at least three days a week and focuses on managing high‑value liability claims with accuracy and client alignment.

You will provide technical claims guidance, liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, and solicitors, and interpret policy wording to determine coverage. A law degree and experience in complex liability claims are essential.

Qualifications

• Law degree is required.
• Experience managing complex liability claims including public liability and professional indemnity matters.
• Knowledge of liability frameworks, including Wrongs Act and related common law.
• Experience engaging with clients, legal counsels and industry partners.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our JLT Public Sector team, part of our risk business at Marsh. This role will be based in Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role you will provide technical claims advice, coordinate claim activity, and help clients navigate the claims process with confidence. You will work across a portfolio of complex, high-value liability claims, ensuring claims are managed efficiently, accurately, and in line with client and insurer expectations.

We will count on you to:

• Manage and support complex, high-value insurance claims from notification through to settlement.

What you need to have:

• Law degree.
