Qualifications

• Must have B2B business development in technical/industrial sectors (industrial fabrication, engineering, etc).
• Hunter of new work; builds strong customer relationships.
• Strong commercial discipline with focus on margins, not just revenue.
• Technical understanding to quickly grasp company capabilities.
• Able to qualify leads before engaging extensive estimating time.
• CRM experience (Pipedrive or similar).
• Consistent follow-up on quotes and engagement with customers.
• Able to review tender opportunities and identify worthwhile pursuits.
• Professional, practical communication style.
• Collaborates with technical experts without relying on them for every sale.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target account list and prospect for new work.
• Develop existing client relationships and identify larger or repeat business.
• Follow up on inbound inquiries from referrals, email, website, and search engines.
• Qualify leads for technical fit, capacity, and margin; engage estimating.
• Review tender opportunities to identify valuable pursuits.
• Collaborate with estimator and technical experts without relying on them for every sales conversation.
• Follow up on quotes and progress opportunities to closure; maintain CRM records.
