Job summary

IAG is seeking an Operational Governance Principal to lead governance, risk and assurance across a major technology transformation. You will influence senior leaders, strengthen operational resilience and shape governance across business, technology and cyber risk domains.

Qualifications

• Experience leading governance, risk or assurance initiatives in large organisations.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk and control frameworks in practice.

Responsibilities

• Shape and drive the operational governance strategy, roadmap and priorities across a complex technology transformation program.
• Lead governance, risk, compliance and assurance activities, including technology, cyber and AI-related risk oversight.
• Establish and enhance governance frameworks, including forums, controls, reporting, performance measures and decision-making processes.
• Monitor risk appetite and risk exposure, providing executive reporting and insights to support informed decision-making.
• Influence senior stakeholders by providing clear insights, constructive challenge and practical solutions to governance issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen governance maturity, resilience and platform performance.
• Partner with technology teams, risk functions, cyber security specialists and external providers to achieve shared outcomes.
• Oversee vendor governance, ensuring service performance and compliance are managed effectively.
