Job summary

Neurode in Sydney (Surry Hills) is seeking reliable Data Collection Assistants to help run sessions smoothly and support venue setup across casual shifts from 16 November 2026 to 30 January 2027.

You will fit headsets, run sessions, and keep accurate records using our software, while maintaining equipment and handling confidential information in a privacy-conscious environment. Paid training and potential further work in 2027 are available.

Qualifications

• Tech-savvy and comfortable troubleshooting hardware and software.
• A people-person who is excited by science and technology.
• Friendly, calm and organised, and you use your initiative.
• Data collection experience, or lead experience in hospitality / events is a strong plus.
• Students in science, neuroscience, psychology or engineering are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Welcome volunteers, guide them through sessions, and help with venue setup and pack-down.
• Fit headsets and use our software to check everything is recording correctly.
• Run sessions according to our protocols and keep accurate records.
• Report any incidents or technical issues.
• Clean and maintain equipment between sessions.
• Handle information confidentially and in line with privacy requirements.
