Job summary

Talent in Sydney seeks Data Centre Support Engineers to join our data centre operations across Bankstown and Western Sydney. This intake has 15 positions for hands-on hardware, networking and AI-assisted troubleshooting in a 24/7 environment.

Initial six-month contracts with conversion to permanent roles possible based on performance and business needs. Competitive daily rate of AUD 390 plus super, with shifts that include nights and weekends on a four-on, four-off roster.

Qualifications

• Approximately 1-3 years of technical support experience.
• At least 1 year of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• At least 1 year of computer networking experience.
• Experience responding to and resolving support tickets.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Clear communication and calm problem-solving approach.
• Data centre experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check racks and servers and investigate equipment that is offline.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and replace components.
• Restart equipment following documented procedures.
• Respond to, prioritise and resolve support tickets.
• Support basic networking troubleshooting and escalate as needed.
• Use documented instructions and AI-assisted tools to guide troubleshooting.
• Follow safety and security procedures and communicate effectively with the team.
