Technical Lead

Location: Melbourne (Hybrid / 3 days in office)
Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction and hands‑on delivery of platform development projects.
• Oversee architecture, design, and implementation of distributed, API‑driven systems.
• Collaborate closely with product and delivery teams to define roadmaps, priorities, and timelines.
• Champion modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and scalable infrastructure design.
• Mentor and upskill engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and quality.
• Ensure all solutions meet security, performance, and maintainability standards.

About You

• 5+ years’ experience in software engineering, with at least 2 in a technical leadership role.
• Strong technical capability in Go, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines for scalable applications.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing event‑driven systems for real‑time transactions.
• Designed and maintained Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts under GitOps pipelines.
• Experience designing and managing microservices, event‑driven systems, and API integrations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence technical direction.
• Strong commercial mindset — capable of balancing technical excellence with delivery impact.
