Job summary

Waverley Council is seeking a motivated and multi-skilled Team Member, Multi Skilled – Open Spaces, to join our team and help maintain parks, reserves, streetscapes and public spaces that our community enjoys daily.

This hands-on role involves presenting, maintaining and improving Waverley’s open spaces, ensuring they remain safe, attractive and welcoming for residents and visitors. You will work as part of a supportive team in a dynamic council environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class C Driver licence or be willing to obtain.
• Possess a WHS Construction Induction (White Card) or willing to obtain on start.
• Fit and able to perform outdoor labour and driving duties.
• Ability to follow directions and interact professionally with staff and the public.

• Maintain and improve open spaces including parks and reserves.
• Ensure spaces are safe, attractive and welcoming for the community.
• Work as part of a supportive team to deliver presentation and maintenance tasks.

• Permanent full time
• 38 hours per week
• Salary - $60,541.99 - $ 69,623.30 plus 12% Super

The Role

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work as a part of a supportive team, contributing to the presentation, maintenance and improvement of Waverley’s open spaces and ensuring they remain safe, attractive, and welcoming for our community

About you

• Hold a minimum of a Class C Driver licence (or willing to obtain)
• A current WHS General Construction Induction (white) card, or willing to obtain on commencement of employment.
• A level of physical fitness sufficient to undertake all activities related to driving and labouring and enjoyment of working outdoors.
• Ability to follow direction and deal with other staff and members of the public in a courteous and professional manner
• Traffic Control Work Card, HR Drivers Licence and demonstrated experience working in an operation environment are desirable
