Job summary

Brophy Family & Youth Services in Victoria is seeking a Team Leader – Home Based Care to provide strong leadership to Foster and Kinship Care practitioners and support safe, stable, and nurturing care for children and young people.

You will guide the team through complex decisions, build trusted relationships with carers and stakeholders, contribute to quality practice and risk management, and promote culturally safe, child-centred, trauma-informed approaches.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience overseeing teams of practitioners.
• Knowledge of therapeutic care approaches for children and carers.
• Budgeting and performance management within a complex service environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Foster and Kinship Care practitioners to deliver safe, stable, nurturing care.
• Guide team through complex practice and decision-making with trauma-informed, child-centred focus.
• Contribute to quality practice, risk management and continuous improvement; build trusted relationships with carers and stakeholders.
