Job summary

Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS) in Mildura, VIC, invites applications for a full-time Team Leader to coordinate the Aged Care program. Working under the Aged Care Program Manager, you will lead a team to deliver high-quality, culturally safe services and manage referrals, case work and reporting.

About the role

Under supervision and direction of the Aged Care Program Manager, the team leader will be responsible for providing support to ensure effective and efficient coordination of the Aged Care services at MDAS.

The Team Leader will be required to work effectively within a team on a day-to-day basis and is responsible for a responsive and efficient framework of operational service delivery that meets targets and also the requirements of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community as identified in the MDAS strategic plan and allocation of referred clients to the appropriate program with the Aged Care team or other MDAS supports.

This is a full-time fixed term opportunity until 30th June 2027. Subject to satisfactory performance, organisational requirements and continued funding availability, the role may be extended beyond the initial term

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Aged Care team to deliver high-quality, culturally safe services, including staff supervision, guidance and performance support.
• Coordinate service delivery and program outcomes through client referrals, case management, documentation, reporting, resource management, and the planning and delivery of client-focused programs and activities
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance by collaborating with clients, community, staff and external agencies while promoting continuous improvement, cultural respect, quality standards, risk management and WHS requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Relevant qualifications or experience in health, community services, aged care, disability, or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and relationship-building skills, including staff supervision, stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution
• Strong organisational skills and cultural awareness, with the ability to manage documentation and reporting requirements while delivering culturally respectful services to Aboriginal communities
