Job summary

AEMO is Australia’s independent energy system and market operator, driving the nation’s energy transition.

The Team Lead, Connection Delivery, will oversee a portfolio of complex generation and network connection projects across the National Electricity Market, leading a team of 5-8 project managers and coordinating with developers, Network Service Providers and government bodies to deliver high-impact outcomes.

Qualifications

• Engineering, project management, regulatory or stakeholder management qualifications.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to manage complex energy infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, establishment, delivery and reporting of government-sponsored Connections programs.
• Oversee program financials: budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cost recovery and governance.
• Mentor and develop a team of project managers; foster a collaborative high-performing culture.
• Build trusted partnerships with generators, Network Service Providers and government agencies.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with NEM connection reforms.
