Job summary

NVITAFE seeks a dedicated Teacher Development Coordinator to support induction, professional learning, and ongoing capability development across NVITAFE. You will help educators meet teaching standards, build confidence, and deliver high-quality learning experiences that drive student success.

You will coordinate induction activities, support supervision processes and contribute to the creation of resources that improve teaching and assessment practices, enabling a broader impact on educator

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching within a TAFE or RTO environment.
  • Diploma or higher-level qualification in vocational education and training.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Experience developing educational resources and training materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills.
  • A collaborative and innovative approach to supporting others.

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced educator who is passionate about supporting teachers to thrive.

As Teacher Development Coordinator, you’ll work closely with new and existing teachers to support induction, professional learning and ongoing capability development across NVITAFE. You’ll play a key role in helping educators navigate teaching requirements, build confidence and deliver exceptional learning experiences that support student success.

You will coordinate induction activities, support teacher supervision processes, facilitate professional development programs and contribute to the creation and enhancement of resources that support quality teaching and assessment practices.

This role offers the opportunity to apply your teaching expertise in a broader capacity while helping shape educator capability across the organisation.

About you

You will bring:

  • Experience teaching within a TAFE or RTO environment
  • A diploma or higher-level qualification in vocational education and training.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Experience developing educational resources and training materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills
  • A collaborative and innovative approach to supporting other

Highly regarded:

  • Experience supporting teacher induction or capability programs
  • Understanding of RTO Standards and compliance requirements
  • Learning and development or organisational development experience
  • Online delivery and content creation expertise.

What you’ll need

Successful applicants will be required to provide:

  • a current National Police Check (issued within three months of commencement)
